Moscow and Dushanbe have begun work on creating a channel for the transfer of personal data between the countries, Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan Shakhnoza Nodiri said on February 13, TASS reports.
According to him, before the opening of the representative office of the passport and visa service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the territory of Tajikistan, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work. First of all, it is necessary to resolve the issue of conducting fingerprinting of citizens of Tajikistan. Sending such data in electronic form is possible only through the use of secure communication channels.
“Now our colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and Russia are working on creating a single channel for transmitting information to send personal data of citizens ,” Nodiri said.
She claims that work on the creation of a representative office in Tajikistan, where citizens of the country will be able to draw up documents for work in Russia, is being carried out in accordance with the memorandum concluded in October 2022 between the Ministry of Labor of Tajikistan and the Passport and Visa Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“In the near future, with the settlement of these technical issues, we will come close to opening a representative office ,” Nodiri said.
Recall, according to the Ministry of Labor of Russia, about 90% of labor migrants from Tajikistan are sent to Russia and only 5% prefer to work in Kazakhstan. The rest of labor migrants go to far-abroad countries.
